Nottingham FRU is a branch of the London-based charity Free Representation Unit and provides representation to clients in the Employment Tribunal.

Nottingham Law School's Legal Advice Clinic provides a free initial advice, represntation and referral service to the local community.

Law students, supervised by qualified lawyers, offer advice and assistance on a number of areas of law.

The Law School offers an assessed Level 3 Pro 25 credit Bono module to single honours LLB students. Students are required to undertake 50 hours volunteering and complete a research project, work diary and deliver an oral presentation.

NLS offers a wide range of pro bono placements with voluntary and statutory organisations, involving different legal and law-related activities.
