Pro Bono Activity Details - University of Nottingham

Aspire

Short Description

Aspire is a primary school project delivering interactive projects covering a basic introduction to 'what is Law?'.

Long Description

Working with the Nottingham Local Education Authority, we run interactive workshops with primary age children that offer a basic introduction to the concept of law. These sessions are very popular and the children are a lot of fun to work with.

Aspire runs in the more disadvantaged areas of Nottingham. In teams of six, our students deliver interactive workshops which cover a basic introduction to ‘What is Law?’ Through a variety of sketches, poster-making, discussion and role-play activities, we guide the children (generally aged between 9 and 10) through ideas of theft, honesty and consequences of breaking the law.
