Advice, Assistance and Representation
   
Short Description  

Law students under supervision offer advice, any necessary legal assistance and representation to all those who cannot a lawyer or legal aid.

 
Long Description

While no areas of law except child custody cases are excluded, the main areas of operation are employment, housing and consumer law. Students are supervised by part-time solicitors employed by the Law Clinic and are also advised by Law School academics. Students work in pairs and "own" the relationship with the client, starting with the first interview of the client and will then undertake all work needed to assist the client with their issue, including appearing and representing the client in an Employment Tribunal or Small Claim if necessary.
